TENNESSEE STAGE COMPANY AND JUBILEE COMMUNITY ARTS TEAM UP TO PRESENT WORLD  PREMIER OF RADIO DAZE SATURDAY, MAY 4 AT LAUREL THEATER

Jubilee Community Arts and Tennessee Stage Company will present a live production of Radio Daze. This “radio play” is includes both an original work written by Jennifer Bolt and Vania Smrkovski and a re-creation of an authentic episode of the 1930’s and 40’s radio show, “The Shadow”. This will take place on Saturday, May 4 at 8:00 p.m. at the Laurel Theater.

The first act of Radio Daze is a segment titled “Smokey Mountain P.I.” and is an homage to noir detective serials. Chicago gumshoe Duke Fitzpatrick travels to Tennessee to solve a 70-year-old mystery. Based on the Tennessee ghost story, “The Ghost of Brinkley College”, this gritty tale promises to thrill!

The second act is a live performance of an episode of “The Shadow”, an action-packed serial which originally ran from 1937-1954. The title character is an avenging antihero who fights crime with his ability to become invisible.
